Gardners join Lowe Funeral Home
Dwayne and Lucy Lowe welcome Richard and Rebecca Gardner to the Lowe Funeral Home family in Quitman.
“The knowledge level and experience of these two professionals will insure the continuation of quality, compassionate service to our community,” said Dwayne Lowe. “We are excited for our organization and those that they will help us continue to serve in Wood County.”
Richard Gardner is a longtime Texas funeral director, embalmer and certified celebrant, having graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in 1991. He is a proud United States Army veteran, he has completed international cemetery, cremation & funeral association university programs held at the University of Memphis, Tenn., in funeral home management as well as 21st century services.
Richard is also a certified crematory operator and maintains licensure to provide prepaid funeral services.
Richard and Rebecca’s professional opportunities have allowed them to be involved in many facets of funeral service leadership and industry development as well as best practices.
“Having made Wood County our permanent home several years ago, it is refreshing to be part of a local funeral home, providing service to the families we live, work and worship with. Lowe Funeral home is truly, ‘friends helping friends’,” Gardner said.
Rebecca Gardner is the director of funeral service education at Northeast Texas Community College. She has received an associate of science in mortuary science, bachelor of science in business management and masters of higher education administration from Sam Houston State University.
Lucy and Dwayne Lowe purchased the Cain Funeral Home in February 1990 and began serving the area as Lowe Funeral Home. The Lowe family has continued the tradition of professional and caring service to the wonderful folks in Quitman and the Wood County area. They are excited to have the Gardner family to help continue their pursuit of quality, compassionate service to the community.
