Gary Dean Boles, 1961-2020

Gary Dean Boles, 59 of Cooper, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 in Sulphur Springs. He was born on Jan. 8, 1961 in Commerce to the late Edwin Ray Boles and Bettye Bell Boles. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1984 and was a longtime and faithful member of Sand Springs Baptist Church in Mineola. He was preceded in death by father, Edwin Ray Boles.

Gary is survived by his mother, Betty Landrum of Cooper; brothers, Terry and Jerry Boles; sister, Clara Ketner of Cooper along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. Funeral will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 at Beaty Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Bro. Jim Parker conducting. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
