GLADYS HARRIS

MINEOLA –Mrs. Gladys Harris, age 93 of Mineola, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, in Mineola. She was born on Aug. 31, 1925, in Longview, Texas, to the late Wilbur Allen and Enola Bush Allen.

She was a retired dietary employee for Wood Memorial Nursing Home and longtime member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a past member of the Willing Workers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Noble Harris Sr.; son, Ronald Wayne Harris, granddaughter, Narsha Radford, great granddaughter, Deja Lyons; seven brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her son, Noble Harris Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Dallas; daughters, Wanda McKnight and her husband Florida of Mineola and Sharon Cornelius and her husband Sidney of DeSoto; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Friday, Oct. 19 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 20 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Mineola with Rev. Demethruis Boyd conducting. Interment was at Mineola City Cemetery.
