Grace Community promoting health at festival

Eating Well for Life will be the focus of Grace Community Healthcare Ministry’s booth at the Iron Hose Festival Sept. 28.  Visitors will be able to pick up information and have the opportunity to visit with volunteers about services offered at the clinic.

They may also run into a giant toothbrush walking near the booth who is one of the newest volunteers ready to offer support to the community at the clinic with educational workshops about healthy eating.

Visitors who make a donation of $5 or more may enter the raffle for The Taste of Mineola – over $200 worth of gift certificates to local restaurants and eateries.

These include Bryan’s Cheesecakes, Cowburners BBQ, Dairy Queen, East Texas Burger Company, Jalapeno Tree, Kelly B’s (at the Country Club), Kitchens, and Uncle Bubba’s. Donations may also be made before Iron Horse Festival by coming to the clinic during office hours, 9-12, Mon.-Fri. and filling out an entry form. Drawing for the prize will be held after the Iron Horse Festival and winner will be notified by phone.

With over 15 years of service to the community, Grace Community Healthcare Ministry continues to offer medical services at reduced rates. It is a faith based non-profit ministry supported by donations and staffed by caring volunteers.
