Johnnie M. Rader

A funeral service for Johnnie Mac Rader, 66, of Lancaster and formerly of Mineola, will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Al Dusek officiating at Beaty Funeral Home.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Rader was born April 14, 1950 and died on April 13, 2017. He was an electronic technician who served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, having served in the Netherlands, and later installed microwave towers all over the country. In his younger days he was an avid fisherman. He was a former resident of the Mineola Seniors Community.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Pfister, his father, LeRoy Pfister and sister, Cheryl Cruitt.

He is survived by a brother, Gene Rader of Tyler; sisters Vickie Oyer of Lawrenceburg, Georgia, Doris Newman of Mineola, Carol Beckett, St. Petersburg, Alaska and Sharon Strickland, Pat Finley and Rogina Brakeall of Xenia, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
