Groups combine efforts for Thanksgiving tradition

A partnership between a local civic organization and a Baptist church will keep alive an annual Thanksgiving tradition in the northern part of Wood County.

The Yantis-Lake Fork Lions Club has joined with Lake Fork Baptist Church inviting the community to a traditional Thanksgiving luncheon Nov. 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church, 9483 W. FM 515.

The luncheon is free in keeping with the annual Lions Club endeavor.

The luncheon is for the surrounding communities to come and share a meal and good fellowship during this special American holiday.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
