Gene Weldon Fogleman, Jr. of Dallas received a 25-year prison sentence April 8. He pleaded guilty in 402nd District Court to manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, a first degree felony.

Guilty plea nets 25 years for drug charge
Gene Weldon Fogleman, Jr. of Dallas received a 25-year prison sentence April 8. He pleaded guilty in 402nd District Court to manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, a first degree felony.
He was arrested March 2, 2020 after a Wood County sheriff’s deputy observed a vehicle stuck in a ditch on Hwy. 154 south of Yantis.
Fogleman was in the vehicle and began having medical issues. EMS provided medical attention.
Fogleman told the deputy he had methamphetamine in his pockets. The deputy collected five clear baggies of methamphetamine totaling 11.8 grams. Upon searching Fogleman’s vehicle, the deputy located three baggies with marijuana totaling 22.9 grams.
