High school football season underway as teams tackle their first scrimmages
“Alba-Golden, Mineola and Quitman football squads saw their first competitive action with scrimmages conducted last Friday. The Panthers hosted Grace Community, Mineola traveled to Winona and the Bulldogs were at Como-Pickton. Scrimmages introduce the teams to determined competition, and greatly assist in determining team composition.
On Thursday, Alba-Golden will scrimmage at Big Sandy, Mineola will host Canton and Quitman will entertain Boles.
