Holly Brook plans trunk or treat

Holly Brook Baptist Church, Hawkins, will host a Fall Festival “Trunk or Treat” on Oct. 31 in the church parking lot. Sponsors of auto car trunks will decorate, have a game for visitors to play and hand out lots of candy treats. Children through sixth grade are invited.

Adult helpers are needed for two hours, from 4 to 6 p.m. To volunteer, contact Tori Ladner, children’s minister; sign up in the Welcome Center of the Family Life Center; or register to be a greeter at the event to hand out bags for candy and give the children a ticket for drawing of a prize.

The Family Life Center is the drop-off place for wrapped candy donations until the date of the event. Filled bags can be placed in the collection bag in the Welcome Center.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
