Holly Brook to present Christmas musical
“Come and See; Go and Tell,” a musical to be presented by the Celebration Singers of Holly Brook Baptist Church, Hawkins, unveils the story of Christmas with an invitation for the listener to know that the Savior is born. The first of two performances will be on Dec. 9 at the 11 a.m. worship service; the second will be Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. The performances are open to the public.
The musical asks, “What kind of king would lay his riches aside and come as a servant?” Few noticed. There was no parade, no celebration. Original songs and familiar songs of the season tell the story of Christmas as they lead to an invitation to come and behold the king, a king born to bring light and salvation to a lost people. After worshipping him at the manger, the musical tells us we must go and spread the good news: the savior is born!
