Honor group pays tribute to pastors
Some 20 local pastors were honored by members of My Honor, Inc. and the Flora Masonic Lodge in Quitman Friday at noon.
The ministers have come throughout the year to say the opening prayer at Wood County commissioner’s meetings.
Lee Smith helped organize the event. “The pastors who have offered prayer at commissioners meetings are here to be recognized today along with other court officers and officials,” Smith said.
“As pastors in our community each of you followed a calling to lead us all as our creator would have. Each of you spend time with folks amid joys, sorrow, confusion and wonder,” Smith said. ”Thank you all for coming and for your commitment to improving the Wood County quality of life.”
