Wintry weather shut down many midweek activities in Wood County Tuesday.
The county’s schools were closed on Tuesday, after many had early dismissals on Monday.
Icy road conditions also led to numerous traffic crashes, especially on bridges.
The weather advisory extended through Thursday with freezing rain forecasted.
