Thanks so much if you participated in our Yard Sale. The House and the Gardens thank you also.
Moving on, we are scheduled to entertain guests at an open house on Oct. 19. This gathering will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the relocation of the Historic Stinson House from Pine Mills to the present location at the back of Hogg Park. Join us at 5:30 if you can attend.
Our garden guru Lin Grado has the annual Fall Plant Sale well under control and we are hopeful for good weather this weekend and, as usual, many satisfied shoppers.
Looking toward the end of the month, the Haunting of Hogg Park is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Various community organizations from across the area will be on hand to help entertain young and old alike with treats, costume contests, games, and perhaps there will be a repeat performance of the scream contest!
What a wonderful time of the year to be a resident of Wood County. The weeks and weekends are full of many activities from football to flea markets. I hope you and your family have the time to explore a few of these.
Please put the Quitman Arboretum at the top of your list. The gardens are boasting their fall colors that will fade as winter approaches.
We will be in the gardens and in the house on Wednesdays. Please join us. The coffee is on.
