For those of us who receive and read our Wood County Monitor every Wednesday, Boo! it’s Halloween once again. The Haunting of Hogg Park will take place, as it has done for several years now, at the rear of Hogg Park in front of the Stinson House. We hope you will join us for family fun and food as the sun slowly sets, and darkness settles in. See you at 5:30 p.m.
Take a few minutes from your busy day and walk through the gardens. Many new additions have arrived, and they have been tucked in for the colder weather by our hard-working volunteers. Keep your eyes on the area that is being bricked in. A long and tedious job will result in a new focal point for visitors to admire. The cooler days will find us pruning, weeding, mulching, bricklaying, and getting ready for the last sale of 2018.
Yes, we will have one last sale this year to raise the funds necessary to keep the Arboretum going and growing. Saturday, Nov. 3 will find us selling Christmas treasures and decorations. We will be located inside the Picket Fence at the Stinson House from 9 a.m. until noon. I started with a “Boo” and I will end with a premature “Ho, Ho, Ho.”
Visit us on Facebook or in person. We are there every Wednesday. The coffee is on.
