Jackets and Bulldogs get district victories Friday
Mineola and Quitman high school boys basketball teams recorded wins Friday night.
The Yellowjackets prevailed 69-45 over the visiting Indians of Grand Saline, while the Quitman Bulldogs downed Lone Oak 51-27.

Jackets and Bulldogs get district victories Friday
Mineola and Quitman high school boys basketball teams recorded wins Friday night.
The Yellowjackets prevailed 69-45 over the visiting Indians of Grand Saline, while the Quitman Bulldogs downed Lone Oak 51-27.
Yellowjacket Guard Conner Dobbs led the team with 22 points, while Jonah Fischer contributed 12. Yellowjacket Head Coach Ryan Steadman complimented the seniors on his squad stating, the game was “a great way to end their last home game!”
Mineola traveled to Edgewood on Tuesday for a match-up of the two premier teams in District 12-3A. Tip-off is set for 6:15 p.m.
Behind the 19 points of Jace Reid and the 12 rebounds of Luke Pruden, the Quitman Bulldogs dominated the Lone Oak Buffaloes. Pruden also joined Trey Berry with five assists each.
Coach Reid’s charges awaited the results of Tuesday’s Alba-Golden vs Rains game which impacted the last two remaining playoff spots.
