James Wagoner 1944-2019

James Wagoner, 75, of Mineola, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Mineola. He was born Jan. 19, 1944 in Gilmer to the late R.E. Wagoner and Katie Wagoner. He was a retired firefighter with the Tyler Fire Department having served 28 years and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Wagoner of Mineola; son, Derreck Wagoner and his wife Vanessa of Pine Mills; brother, Robert Wagoner and his wife, Glenda of Holly Lake; sister, Judy Edge and her husband, Bruce of Tulsa, Okla.; granddaughter, Morgan Wagoner and her husband, Garrett Speights; and great-grandchildren, Lauren and Michael Speights.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola at 11 a.m. Interment followed at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Mineola, with Carson Carruthers, Cole Carruthers, Cameron Carruthers, Garrett Speights, Jason Edge and Spephen Edge serving as pallbearers.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
