Janiece W. Bohannan, 1938-2019

ALBA – Funeral services for Janiece W. Bohannan, 80, of Alba, were Tuesday, June 25 at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home Chapel in Alba with Brother Donnie Herring and Brother Michael Bohannan officiating. Services were under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba. Burial was in Salem Cemetery in Alba.

Mrs. Bohannan passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019, at her home after a long and courageous battle. She was born Aug. 18, 1938, in Rains County, to VL and Imogene Wright. She lived all her life in Wood County. She graduated from Alba High School and was a member of the Riverside Mission Church. She taught Sunday school for 38 years and was an avid Texas Rangers fan.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Danny Bohannan; daughters, Jana Boag and Sherri Horne; sons, Jimmy Hollis, Johnny Hollis, Douglas Bohannan, and Vince Bohannan; and 39 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Janiece was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carroll Wright; and grandson, Johnny Hollis Jr.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
