Jean Rogers Davis (Mom/Mammaw/Grannie) personified The Bible verses of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Mom is patient and kind. Mom does not envy or boast, is not proud. Mom is never rude, or self-seeking, not easily angered and she keeps no record of wrongs. Mom rejoices with the truth. She always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres. She never failed to show all of us love in this way!

Jean was a talented artist with many varied interests: sewing, gardening, self-taught piano, genealogy, stamp collecting, coin collecting and all of her grandchildren’s activities. Jean maintained her childhood friendships throughout her life by keeping in touch with her Gainesville High School classmates for 70 years.
