Jerry Frank Harvell, 1939-2019

Jerry Frank Harvell, 80, of Mineola, passed away Aug. 24, 2019 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler with his family by his side. He was born June 17,1939 in Temple to the late James Frank Harvell and Eula Faye Tutor.

He was a marksman and a mechanic for the US Army from 1960-66 where he was part of the U.S. shooting team. Jerry Frank had a passion and talent for cars – if you broke it he could fix it. Jerry Frank is also remembered by his love and talent for art and fishing.

Jerry Frank was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Gloria Ann Harvell; and wife Shirley Sue Ferris. He will be remembered by his son, Jerry Harvell Jr. and wife Laura of Katy; step-son, Robert Christopher Koontz of Ardmore, Okla.; daughters, Belinda Davis of Byrdstown, Tenn., Nikki Hatch and husband Bruce of Springer, Okla. and Jerri Williams and husband Nathan of Ardmore, Okla.; step-daughter, Barbara Bright of Moore, Okla.; brother, Danny Halfaker and wife Marsha; sisters, Becky Johnston and husband Rob, and Jeanna Halfaker; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. 

Service will be held at Mineola Civic Center in the Dogwood Room Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.
