Joan Hass McBride 1942-2022

Services for Joan Hass McBride, 80, of Alba were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, with Chaplain Robert Stovall officiating.

Interment was in Pilgrim Rest #1 Cemetery, Emory.

Raymonda Joan Seay McBride passed away Oct. 29, 2022 at her home. She was born Aug. 10, 1942 in Farmersville to Thadeus Lee and Nellie Beatrice Woods Seay. Joan spent most of her life in Alba, where she worked as a manager for Pay-N-Save and Alba Parts for many years. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W. T Hass, Jr.; husband, Johnnie McBride; brother, Jackie Seay; and sisters, Peggy Addington, Joyce Armstrong and Wanda Hass.

Survivors include her two daughters, Leanna Burge and husband Ronnie of Alba and Jayna Fountain and husband Bruce of Alba; son, Dennis McBride of Alba; sister, Dexie Gilbert of North Richland Hills; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
