Joe Lynn Hamilton 1945-2023

With broken hearts and sadness beyond measure, the family of retired SCPO USN Joe Lynn Hamilton announces his passing on Feb. 13, 2023.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1945 in Nacogdoches to H.A. and Ruby Hamilton. His happiest times were in the Navy and going on adventures on his Harley with his buddies, James and Glen.

He was predeceased by his Dad, Mother and his son, Eric.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; his daughters, Danielle Hamilton and Casandra (Sandy) Booth; stepson, Marcus Beasley; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
