Joyce Ann Austgen Pitre 1941-2020

Memorial services for Joyce Ann Austgen Pitre, 79, of Alba are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020 at Wilson Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. Byron George officiating.

Mrs. Pitre passed away Aug. 10, 2020 in Tyler. She was born July 6, 1941 in Muskegon, Mich. to George and Martha Lund Austgen. She moved from Grand Haven, Mich. to Irving before moving to Wood County in 1974. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, James M. Pitre, Sr.; brother, George Austgen; and sister Linda Austgen.

Surviving family includes her son, Robert Arbogast and wife Sherry of Grand Saline; two daughters, Gwen Driskill and Teresa Arbogast of Alba; brother, Mike Austgen of Michigan; sister, Mary Snyder of Michigan; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
