Julius Dewayne Gardner, 1982-2020

Julius Dewayne Gardner was born on June 6, 1982. He died June 19, 2020 and services were June 27.

He was the second born to Eveline Gardner of Mineola and the late John A. Gardner of Tyler. Julius was raised in Mineola and attended school at Mineola ISD. He graduated in 2001. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age under the direction of East Chapel C.M.E. Church of Mineola. He also attended Saintsville Church of God in Christ in Dallas. He later united with The Lord’s Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Marlon Duncan and remained a faithful member until death.

He worked in the food industry for Sysco for over 16 years as a certified truck driver. He was loved by his coworkers. He was a dedicated employee, and he exceeded the company’s expectations in his job performance. Julius enjoyed cooking, hanging out with family and close friends. He enjoyed DJing for his Patriots Fan Club and hanging out with all his Patriots fans at the sports bar. He also enjoyed hanging out with his San Antonio Spurs Fan Club as well. He was also a member of the Mustang Car Club. Julius had a relationship with God and he was certain that God was the only one in full control of everything. His strength to deal with life’s issues came from the Lord.

He is preceded in death by his father, John A. Gardner. He leaves to cherish his memories mother, Eveline Gardner (Eddie W.) of Mineola; sister, Danielle (Michael) Francis of Seagoville; a number of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; one god-sister, Jessica Tuck Hayward of Tyler; and four god-children, Juliana and Adriana Rodriguez of Dallas and Ayden and Cayden Wooten of Duncanville.
