Iona Griffith

ALBA-Services for Iona “Granny Sam” Blevins Griffith, 95, Alba, were held Sunday, November 13 at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kelly Burton officiating.

Burial followed in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery in Golden.

Mrs. Griffith died November 10, 2016, in Azle, Texas. She was born June 4, 1921, in South Irving, Kentucky to the late Florence and Hume Blevins. She and her husband worked for Meals on Wheels Ministry for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Azle and previously First Baptist Church, Alba.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Griffith; brothers, Paul and J.W. Blevins; sisters, Dottie McCord and Roberta Flynn; sons, James Paul and Jeffery Mark Griffith.
