Memorial services for Kathleen Greer, 84, of Quitman, are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Midkiff officiating.
She passed away April 17, 2019, in Tyler.
Kathleen Charlotte Greer was born Feb. 13, 1935, in Wisconsin to “Red” Parsons and Pauline Jennings. Her father, Red, was the light of her life. She was a Quitman resident for eight years, coming from Dallas. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishment was her daughter, Kimberley. She put her life on hold to raise her daughter. When her granddaughter, Rhyann, was born, her life changed again and flourished being Mimi. They were the best of friends. Kathleen loved helping people in any way she could. She even worked for the Shriners for about five years.
She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Pauline and Carl Crosby; and her father.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberley Marks of Quitman; brother, Gary Crosby; two sisters, Jannis Miller and Sharron Southern; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
