Kiwanis Club hosting benefit golf tournament

The fifth annual benefit golf tournament for the Quitman-Lake Fork Kiwanis Club is Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Links at Land’s End golf course on Lake Fork. Shotgun start is at 2 p.m.

All proceeds help children in the community.

The cost per four-person team is $300 and includes green fee, cart, meal and gift bags. There is a $25,000 hole-in-one contest and prizes for first, second and third places plus other games and prizes.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
