Lady Bulldogs win three games

The Quitman Lady Bulldogs got in five softball games last week playing in the Harmony Tournament. They recorded wins over Wills Point (3-0), Daingerfield (10-9) and Bloomburg (12-8) while losing to Winnsboro (12-5) and Bloomburg (3-0).

Lady Bulldogs win three games

The Quitman Lady Bulldogs got in five softball games last week playing in the Harmony Tournament. They recorded wins over Wills Point (3-0), Daingerfield (10-9) and Bloomburg (12-8) while losing to Winnsboro (12-5) and Bloomburg (3-0).

In the Lady Bulldogs 3-0 win over Wills Point Tyann Harris took the win on the mound, striking out three and not giving up any runs. Shelby Hayes had a pair of RBI to lead Quitman at the plate. Madyson Pence led the team to a 10-9 win over Daingerfield going 2-3 at the plate.

After falling to Bloomburg earlier 3-0 Quitman came back to post a 12-8 win in a rematch. Haley  Davis went 2-2 at the plate and Reiny Luman smacked a double and a single to lead the Lady Bulldogs on offense in the win.

Quitman fell to Winnsboro 12-5 despite a good day on offense from Hayes who went 2-2 with a pair of doubles and an RBI. 

District play begins March 13 at home against Alba-Golden.
