Jaycee Cheshire and Raeli Smith led all scorers with 12 points apiece to lift Hawkins to a 56-25 victory over Fruitvale last Tuesday night.
The Lady Hawks grabbed the lead against Fruitvale on a three-pointer from Smith in the second period and held on the rest of the way doubling their opponents’ output in the second half for a 31-point victory.
Hawkins broke away after a 16-point second quarter, running up the lead to 29-17 by halftime.
Smith went into double digits, scoring 12 points for Hawkins. Also contributing for Hawkins were Alyssa Eddington with seven points, two rebounds and four steals. Emily Moore who had six points, four rebounds, two steals and three assists, Harlie Conover who poured in eight points, two rebounds, two steals and three assists.
Emily Hodges had a solid game on the boards as she gave Hawkins four points, nine rebounds and two assists. While Carolyn Searer had four points, four rebounds and two steals. Christian Harris rounded out the scoring with three points.
