Wood County 4-H council elects 2016-17 officers
The Wood County 4-H Council recently elected officers for the 2016-2017 year.
Luke Kindle was elected president with Curtis Perkins serving as first vice president and Jenna Haney as second vice president. Wyatt Bashioum was elected to parliamentarian.
Ben Brunson was elected treasurer and Kaylin Baker was selected as historian. Ahneka Tullos was elected as secretary and Jentri Jackson as reporter.
There are several upcoming events for Wood County 4-H during the month of October. The Wood County 4-H Awards Banquet is Monday at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Quitman. The “One Day 4-H” Community Service Day is next Saturday, Oct. 8, at Jim Hogg Park and Arboretum in Quitman.
The 4-H YES camp is Oct. 21-22 in Palestine and the 4-H Livestock Project Workshop is Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Quitman High School Ag Barn.
