Lady Jackets defeat Chapel Hill in three games
The Mineola Lady Jackets made a strong statement with a three-game sweep at Chapel Hill Mount Pleasant last Tuesday, 25-17, 25-16, 25-19.
They intended to use the confidence built by that victory to face Mount Vernon last Friday, but the match had to be rescheduled due to a coronavirus case at Mount Vernon High School that placed that team under quarantine.
Brittany Pickle and Alyssa Lankford produced 31 kills and 22 assists, respectively, in the win over Chapel Hill.
Following the rematch against Quitman on Tuesday, the Lady Jackets will play at Harmony on Friday.
