Quitman “Meet the teacher day” scheduled for August 22 and 27
Quitman Elementary School students and their families will have the chance to meet their teachers on Aug. 22 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
This is an informal time for students to bring supplies and introduce themselves to teachers, according to a press release from the Quitman Independent School District.
Families will be able to pick up their pre-ordered supplies from the Parent-Teacher Organization, grab a snack and take a look around. New students can also get started on the enrollment process.
There will be tables set up in the elementary school's cafeteria for enrollment, PTO membership, Boy Scouts, Title I and other community organizations that help children.
"Meet the teacher day" for Quitman junior high and high school students will take place on Aug. 27 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Students and their parents will be able to get more information about enrollment and various school organizations, in addition to touring the campus and meeting their teachers.
