Lady Panthers whip Lone Oak
The Alba-Golden came back strong after a tough loss to Quitman Tuesday to take down Lone Oak 3-0 winning 26-24, 25-21, 25-15 raising their District 12-3A record to 2-2.
Captain Ginny Carson and Kalli Wright led their team to another district win. Kalli Wright was impressive tonight at the net making some big plays when the team needed a point.
“The Lady Panthers started out slow but by the third set we were rolling. Carson led the team with 17 kills, 11 digs, two aces, three assist. Ann Marie Pendergrass had a good defensive game and she led the team with 15 digs,” Coach TaShara Everett said.
Freshman Madi Byrant and sophomore Hope Wiley were solid players for the team. They both had three kills and five digs. Lauren Crump had five kills and Macie Pendergrass led the team in blocks with three. Bralee Littlejohn led with 18 assists.
