Mineola police reports for the past week included:

Nov. 22 – A disturbance was reported on University Street when a man was arguing with a girl in the yard when his mother became involved. Officers spoke with the man and the mother and the disturbance was deemed to be an argument only. The man left the residence.

A woman reported fraudulent transactions from her checking account. This is under investigation.

A man reported his brother was intoxicated and was walking from Line Street. Officers were unable to find the subject and the man was reported to have returned home.

Nov. 21 – A lady called from Z Grocery on West Broad Street. She said she won money from a gaming machine and the store would not pay her. The officer advised her of options to file a complaint because it was a civil matter.

A man on Peachtree Street reported several children on bikes ringing his door bell and leaving. The children were located and the parents were notified.

A woman reported she was being harassed by her son’s father. She repeatedly asked him to stop texting before contacting the police. An officer called the man to tell him to stop calling but he continued to text threats. Charges are pending.

Nov. 20 – Marvin Mathew Tanzy III, 30, was arrested for a Mineola warrant for use/possession of identifying information. Tanzy was pulled over on South Pacific Street for a defective license plate light. Tanzy had attempted to cash a check he wrote to himself for $850 that belonged to someone else which was reported in July.

Nov. 19 – A man called and wanted officers at a residence on North Pacific Street for a dispute. When officers arrived they spoke with the man and his girlfriend at the home. They were having an argument. Officers responded again to a disturbance when the same man called and reported his girlfriend assaulted him. The two were separated when it was found that the disturbance was verbal only.

A woman called in on a suspicious man walking a bicycle up and down County Club Drive. Officers spoke with the man who said he was looking for arrowheads.

Delani Nissen, 40, of Mineola was arrested for driving with an invalid license and possession of a controlled substance when she was found to have pills located on her without a prescription. Nissen was arrested in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Officers responded to a noise complaint at the Arbors apartments on Bromberg Street. Officers spoke with the tenants and asked them to keep it down.

Nov. 18 – Lindale police reported a reckless motorcycle leaving their city driving at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic. Mineola police caught up with the motorcycle on North Pacific Street and witnessed the same reckless driving. The driver was issued two citations and a warning.

A hit and run was reported in the Pizza Hut parking lot.

A man went to Pizza Pasta Amore and asked for $140. He then left the property and called several times with the same request. Officers made contact with the man and told him to stop calling.

Nov. 17 – A man was found sleeping beside the Z Grocery on West Broad Street. An officer spoke with the young man who gave him his name and date of birth but would not give any further information. The young man left the area.

An indecency with a child allegation was reported. This is under investigation.

An officer responded to several 911 calls originating on Francis Street. Officers spoke with a man who said he was messing with his cell phone and unaware he was dialing 911.

Officers responded to a possible suicidal person on Line Street. The man was not home and was later located safe in another city.
