Le Pearl Rhodes Bellomy, 1922-2019

Le Pearl Rhodes Bellomy, 97, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019 at Mustang Creek Estates Assisted Living in Burleson. She was born in Hopkins County on April 25, 1922 to Ola Mae Gatlin and Elijah McClellan (Clell) Rhodes.

Pearl married Hulon H. (Buck) Bellomy on Jan. 15, 1942 in Pickton. After World War II Pearl and Hulon lived in Fort Worth until retirement, at which time they moved to Quitman. Pearl is preceded in death by her husband, Hulon.

She is survived by her son, Don Bellomy and wife Brenda; daughter, Diann Green and husband Phillip Green; grandchildren David Bellomy, Gary Bellomy, Kevin Green, Jason Green and Aria Green; sister, Linda Weems and husband Monnie Weems; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Pearl’s life was celebrated at a memorial service at Beaty Funeral Home at in Mineola, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019. Online condolences and comments may be made at beatyfuneralhome.com.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert
