The Mineola Lady Legends competed in the 8U Texas Teen-Age Softball Association State Tournament in Rusk July 20-24, winning the championship.

The Mineola Lady Legends competed in the 8U Texas Teen-Age Softball Association State Tournament in Rusk July 20-24, winning the championship.

Mineola beat Belton Legacy 19-11 to win the TTAS 8U State championship and become the first Mineola team to do so. Lady Legends finished the season with an undefeated 14-0 record.

State tournament results:

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
