Dear Editor:
I experienced the goodness and kindness of a complete stranger last week.
I had left my purse at a restaurant. I returned to the restaurant only to discover my purse was gone and the counter personnel did not have it. I immediately began trying to determine who to notify: the bank, credit card company, drivers license replacement.
A very special person found my purse and made it his mission to return it. Staff Sgt. Riley returned the purse to my house and gave it to my grandson.
Thank you Staff Sgt. Riley. You made my Christmas extra special by showing me there are exceptional people in this world who are willing to go the extra mile to help a stranger. God bless you and thank you for your service.
