Letter to the Editor


Dear Nanny State:

   Now that you’ve passed a law increasing the smoking age from 18 to 21 based on the pronouncements of mental health professionals that 18-year-olds’ “brains are not fully developed,” why are we still allowing these undeveloped brains to vote or to drive? These activities can result in harm to people other than the 18- to 21-year-olds themselves.
