Spring is bass fishing time in Texas. 4-H youth from across the state dusted off their rods and reels to participate in the statewide 4-H Virtual Bass Tournament in March during three Saturday events.

Local 4-H’er places 10th

Spring is bass fishing time in Texas. 4-H youth from across the state dusted off their rods and reels to participate in the statewide 4-H Virtual Bass Tournament in March during three Saturday events.

Some 248 4-H members participated with the opportunity to win fishing prizes and 4-H awards. Placings were determined based upon cumulative pounds of bass weights over the three events, and 4-H’ers were able to participate in the tournament as an individual, on a 3- to 4-member team and in a separate big bass contest.

Coming in 10th Place in the overall individual state event was Joe Brunson of Winnsboro. Joe is a Winnsboro 4-H  member and the son of Jason and Melissa Brunson.
