Logan Lee Kuykendall 1953-2020

Services for Logan Lee Kuykendall, 66, of Alba were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020 at Wilson Bartley Funeral Home, Alba with Bro. Rick Childers and Bro. Ralph Swoape officiating.

Mr. Kuykendall passed away Feb. 4, 2020 at his residence. He was born July 25, 1953 in Dallas to Logan L. “Doc” and Ella Mae Potter Kuykendall. He lived the last 25 years in Wood County. On Nov. 19, 1973, Logan married Petra Oppel in Garland. Logan loved to fish, watch NASCAR and football and enjoyed telling jokes. He was a member of the United States Army and worked as a roofer in the construction industry. Logan was preceded in death by his parents and brother, E.J. Kuykendall.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Petra Kuykendall of Alba; daughter, Shanon Craig of Alba; three brothers, Mike, Gary and Johnny; sister, Nancy; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
