Luxury beach vacation in future for raffle winner

The Pilot Club of Quitman’s fall fundraiser will result in beachy fun in the sun for the winner. The club is raffling off an all-inclusive one-week Caribbean vacation. Tickets for chances to win are on sale now, restricted to those 24 and older. Adding to the excitement, the winning ticket will be drawn and announced on Nov. 9 at Bud Moody Stadium during the Quitman Bulldog’s last home game.

The prize is an all-inclusive six-night luxury beach vacation for two at the Grand Residences Riviera Cancun, arriving May 26 and departing June 1, 2019. This resort is a 2018 Trip Advisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award Winner. It’s located on a sheltered beach in the idyllic fishing village of Puerto Morelos, Mexico, and just a 30-minute drive from Cancun. The transport to and from the airport is included. There’s an awe-inspiring infinity pool that faces the sparkling Caribbean Ocean, and several top-notch restaurants and casual dining options. All meals at the resort’s restaurants, and a $1,000 American Airlines airfare voucher, are included. Package value is $5,500+. Learn more about the resort and amenities here: http://grandresidencesrivieracancun.com

Raffle tickets are $10 each. They are available from any Quitman Pilot, at the Speakeasy Coffee House in Quitman, and by contacting raffle chair Debbie Robinson at: QuitmanPilotClub@peoplescom.net. Quitman Pilots will also be setting up tables for ticket sales at local businesses and events, and tickets will be available during Bulldog home games, including the last game when the drawing will be held.

Proceeds support the non-profit Pilot Club of Quitman’s charitable projects focusing on: preparing youth and young adults for service, encouraging brain safety and health and supporting those who care for others.

About the raffle, Club President and event Chairwoman Debbie Robinson said, “This is an extremely important fundraiser for our Club and it’s in lieu of our annual Fall Extravaganza. The prize is top-notch, but more importantly, so are the projects this fundraiser will support. We are hoping to meet our fundraising goals to be able to accomplish all the important charitable work in our budget. We encourage and thank our supporters for considering purchasing tickets, and we hope they’ll get more than one!”
