A 48-year-old Winnsboro man faces two charges of indecent exposure in connection with alleged lewd behavior in the parking lot of the Walmart in Mineola.

On Dec. 14, Charles Brian Kirksey was arrested for two warrants of indecent exposure. Each warrant carries a $10,000 bond. Kirksey turned himself in to a Mineola Investigator at the Wood County Detention Center, according to the Mineola Police Department.

On Nov. 10, the department received three calls from elderly women that had been shopping at Walmart. The women reported when they left the store and were placing groceries in their vehicles, a white male approached them in his pickup, asking if they knew where a doctor’s office was.

While asking, he made inappropriate comments and exposed himself to them. At that time, police obtained a surveillance video from Walmart and started looking for the vehicle. The video did not provide a license plate number and the man never got out of the vehicle.

On Dec. 9, a woman reported a similar incident while she was in the Walmart parking lot a day earlier. The woman was able to obtain photographs of the pickup with a partial license plate. With the partial license plate, police were able to locate the vehicle in Winnsboro. During the interview of the suspect, he admitted to doing the same thing on multiple occasions that have not been reported, according to police. He also admitted to doing the same thing at Walmarts in other towns, according to police.

The two charges are stemming from the reports on Nov, 10 and Dec. 8. If you have been a victim of this offense, please notify the Mineola Police Department.
