Man killed when vehicle crashes into tree
A Wills Point man died in a single vehicle crash in the early morning hours Saturday south of Mineola.
According to the Dept. of Public Safety preliminary report, Taylor Elijah Faris, 21, of Wills Point was traveling west on County Road 2330 March 14 at 2:10 a.m. at an unsafe speed. He failed to negotiate a curve to the right.
The vehicle, a 2001 Ford Mustang, ran off the road and struck a tree about 3.3 miles south of Mineola in Wood County.
The driver was pronounced at the scene by Justice of the Peace Cindy Weems and taken to Bartley Funeral Home in Grand Saline.
