Margaret Moore Rutherford, 1950-2021
Services for Margaret Moore Rutherford, 71, of Grand Saline are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 at Bartley Funeral Home with Pastor Don Fleming officiating.
Interment will be in Silver Lake Cemetery.
Mrs. Rutherford passed away Nov. 26, 2021 in Grand Saline. She was born June 9, 1950 in Albuquerque, N.M. She moved to Grand Saline at the age of 16 and lived there the rest of her life. Margaret was a member of Round Flat Pentecostal Church. She was a Dallas police officer for about nine years and then worked as a substitute teacher. She was very involved in church and helped in any way she could at all the churches she had attended. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lillie Moore, and birth mother and stepfather, Mary Ann Stone and J.W. Stone; brothers, Michael Stone and Kenneth Stone; and longtime love, Lou Germonte.
Survivors include her three daughters, Carla Veach of Silver Lake, Sandi Morato of Silver Lake and Becky Leanne Ramos of Tyler; brother, James Stone of Gun Barrel City; two sisters, Joyce Hathcock of Silver Lake and Kathy Rose and husband Robin of Scurry; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
