Junior Livestock Show Saturday
The Mineola Junior Livestock Show will be Saturday at the Meredith Show facilities on the campus of Mineola High School.
The show is open to all FFA and 4-H members who are in good standing with their club on that date.
There will be classes in Market Swine, Market Lambs, Market Goats, Dairy Heifers, Market Steers and Breeding Beef Heifers.
Entry information has been emailed to agriscience teachers and county extension agents in the area, but additional information can be obtained by contacting Glen Dossett, 903-569-3000, during the school day or emailing dossettg@mineolaisd.net.
Judges for this year’s show will be Loyd Nations for Breeding Animals and Randy Orsbourn for Market Animals. The show is a project of the Mineola FFA Alumni Hay Show.
The first classes will begin to show at 10 a.m. and will continue throughout the day. Everyone is invited to attend and there is no admission charge. Mineola FFA Alumni will provide a concession stand for lunch and snacks.
