Richard Lee Harpole

MINEOLA-Funeral services for Richard Lee Harpole, 47, Emory, were held Sunday, April 2 at Sand Springs Baptist Church in Mineola with Rev. Jim Parker officiating.

Burial followed at Golden Cemetery.

Mr. Harpole died March 29, 2017, at a Tyler hospital. He was born June 2, 1969, in Mineola to John Thomas and Bunny Harpole. He served in the Navy four years during Desert Storm, worked for the U.S. Department of Justice and lived most of his life in East Texas. He was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Sue Harpole, Emory; father, John Harpole, Alba; mother, Bunny Wiley, Jackson, Mississippi; son, Anthony “Tony” Harpole, Emory; daughters, Kelsey Harpole, Emory, Kendall Harpole, Point and Jericka Scoggins, Emory and sisters, Jennifer Underwood, Mineola, Misty Eckerfield, Quantico, VA and Mandy Campbell, Beckville.
