Medlin, Coats selected as Quitman Rotary students of the month
Seniors Josh Medlin and Katelyn Coats were selected as the Quitman September Rotary students of the month.
Medlin has been the varsity football captain for two years, on the varsity golf team, vice president of student council, FFA treasurer and National Honor Society member. He will be attending Texas A&M University in College Station to major in ag business and would like to have a job in the ag insurance and finance field.
Coats has been a part of the Anchor Club for three years and is a member of the Interact Club. She was a part of FFA during her freshman year. She has been working at Quitman Chiropractic for the past year.
She plans to attend North East Texas Community College in Mt. Pleasant. She has plans to pursue a Bachelors of Science degree in nursing to pursue a job as a labor and delivery nurse.
Coats is taking a pharmacology class to become a pharmacy technician while she attends college.
