Mineola All School Reunion planned

The Second Mineola All-School Reunion is approaching and is set for Homecoming 2019 weekend.

Several events will culminate on Saturday night Sept. 14 at Mineola Civic Center with a reunion dinner, alumni awards and dance in the Live Oak Room of Meredith Hall.

The dance will feature the Gary Patrick Band, which includes Mineola graduates Bob Scott (1982) and Bill Scott (1976), who will perform live music for the event. Patrick is also a Wood County native graduating from Alba-Golden High School. The Dogwood Room in Meredith Hall will be open after dinner and the alumni awards to visit and reminisce.

The weekend of fun kicks off Friday with the downtown homecoming parade at 3 p.m. Former students will gather at 6 p.m. on the parking lot of Meredith Stadium for a tailgate party featuring hot dogs and the fixings prior to the 7 p.m. Homecoming Court presentation and crowning of the 2019 Homecoming Queen. That will be followed by the kick-off of the football game against Class 4A Farmersville.

Tickets for the reunion are $25 per person. Registration deadline is Sept. 6 and wristbands will given at the tailgate party Friday or the dinner Saturday, whichever event you initially attend.

Registration can be done online at www.mineolaciviccenterandrvpark.com or by calling Mineola Civic Center offices at 903-569-6115.
