Mineola board adopts ‘19-20 ISD calendar
Mineola School Board adopted the 2019-20 school calendar last Monday night.
Teachers will return to work on Thursday, Aug. 8, and students one week later.
First semester staff development dates include Oct. 14 and 21 and Nov. 25-27.
Student holidays include Sept. 2, Oct. 11, Nov. 28-29, and Christmas break begins Dec. 23.
Students return Jan. 8 following staff development days on Jan. 6-7.
Jan. 20 is a holiday, with staff development Feb. 10 and a holiday Feb. 17.
Spring break is March 9-13. Good Friday April 10 is a student holiday, and the following Monday, April 13 is for staff development.
May 22 is the final day of school, unless the inclement weather dates of May 26 and 27 are needed. May 25 is the Memorial Day holiday. Graduation is May 22.
Early release days include Sept.13 (homecoming), Nov. 22, Dec. 20 and May 22.
State testing dates include Dec. 9-13, April 6-9 and May 4-15.
