Today, Randy Davis, a twenty three year veteran of the U.S. Army and Texas State Guard member announced his candidacy for Texas State Representative in House District 5.

"After prayer and discussion with my family, friends, and our community, I am announcing my candidacy for State Representative. I have spent my life serving our country and state in the military, and I would be honored to be able to continue this service as a conservative voice in the Texas Legislature," Davis said.

"Over the last few months as I have talked with members of our community, I am hearing the same concerns. They are concerned about the size of our government, they are concerned about border security, they are concerned about our Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms, they are concerned about job creation and economic growth. As State Representative, I plan to address each of these issues in order to preserve conservative values and improve the future of Texas." Davis said

As a member of the NRA and concealed carry license holder, Randy is an adamant defender of our Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms. He is also passionate about securing our border, calling to eliminate Sanctuary cities and state benefits to illegal immigrants in Texas. As a former small business owner, Randy understands the importance of economic opportunity in our state and plans to promote lower taxes and increase jobs in House District 5 and across Texas.

Born in a Christian, conservative household to a World War II Veteran, Randy has spent his life serving our country. Since his first job at the age of 13 as a paperboy Randy has learned the value of hard work and dedication that he used during his 23 years of military service in the United States Army. Randy served as a combat veteran during the Vietnam War.

After retiring in 1993,

Randy started his own small business as a scuba diving instructor. In 2005, Randy continued his life of service by joining the Texas State Guard as an officer where he continues to serve today. Since then, Randy has helped countless people through natural disasters, protecting the citizens of Texas.
