Mineola CC teams achieve success at district

Mineola cross country runners fared well at the Oct. 5 district meet with the high school varsity girls finishing just one point behind Edgewood, but giving them second place and a trip to the regional meet in Grand Prairie Oct. 22.

For the girls team Hanah Zoch finished in second place, Keilee Riley took fifth place, Alyssa Lankford seventh, Emily Wiley ninth, Kapri Riley 11th, Juliana Stanley 13th and Anna Westerry 24th.

The boys team had three regional qualifiers in David Amador (fifth place), Royer Marquez (sixth place) and Omar Galaz (10th place).

The Mineola Middle School boys finished first place overall as a team winning the district championship.

Dalton Crowson took second, Dalton Anders third, Jiaro Mata fifth, Alex Reyes seventh, Paul Stanley 17th, Fernel Medina 19th, Aiden Gould 20th, Moises Vasquez 24th, Alex Castillo 28th, Cristobal Duran 32nd and Rubuen Marquez 35th.

Mineola Middle School girls participating were Sarah Amador, who finished 22nd and Raygen Adley who finished 26th.
